Superman Returns director, Bryan Singer wears the classic Superman S-Symbol T-shirt. It’s no big surprise since he directed a Superman movie. Hey, did you know what are the three things that can kill Superman? I’ll tell you: Kryptonite, Doomsday and Bryan Singer.
I enjoyed the first two X-men movies that Singer directed, but what the hell was he thinking with Superman Returns? Now I hear talk that Warner Bros. doesn’t want to make another Superman movie cause the last one ”bombed” so bad. The thing that kills me is they are putting Captain Marvel (a Superman rip off) into production! Thanks for screwing up any hope of future Superman movies Singer. It will be another 10 years before Warner Bros even thinks about letting anyone make another one.

Where I agree with you that Superman returns sucked a big one, I have to say that there are a lot of complications with the superman franchise. Namely the family of one of the original creators just won back legal rights to Superman’s origin. The case has been in and out of court for 20+ years and the family finally won so Warner Bros. (i.e DC Comics) has until 2011 to tell another Supes story with the original origin then who knows what will happen. Secondly I have to correct you on the Captain Marvel as a Supes rip off. Marvel was actual published first and while similar in basic design, The Big Cheese is a ordinary human boy who’s powers are based on magic and The Big Blue Boy Scout is an alien who’s abilities come from the fact that he’s under a yellow sun.

Captain Marvel first appeared in Whiz comics #2 in 1940 by Fawcett Comics. Superman first appeared in Action Comics #1 in 1938.(2 years before Captain Marvel) DC Comics sued Fawcett in 1953 (and won the case) alleging that Captain Marvel was an illegal infringement of Superman. Fawcett stopped publishing Captain Marvel related comics after they lost the case. DC then bought the character from Fawcett in 1972. The look of the characters are very similar. If you cut off their heads and place them on the other characters body you have the same character!
