It may not be a huge surprise for you to learn that I have quite a passion for Superman, especially the Superman T-Shirt. But when I’m not engrossed in my obsession with all things Superman, there’s one place on earth that I love to go to chill and party: Vegas, baby.
Since my significant other introduced me to Las Vegas a few years ago, we try to go back when we can. Some of our favorite resorts include MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage and The Wynn. Apart from the enormous, almost inhuman buffets that the city boasts, the real reason I love Vegas is for the gaming vibe. Many a late night have been spent at a poker table when I’ve completely lost track of time (to the chagrin of the aforementioned significant other)!
Sad reality, however, is that we don’t get out to Vegas as often as we’d like. A very sad reality, really. But one night, as I found myself dreaming of those Vegas nights as I sat alone in front of my computer twiddling my thumbs, I found myself on PartyPoker. And lo! I was TOTALLY sucked in. Firstly, it’s MASSIVE (they don’t call it “the world’s largest poker room” for nothin’) and the play is lightening fast.
I get a total kick out of the fact that at any given time in any given game, I could be playing poker with people from anywhere in the world. It’s mind-blowing to think about it. And while a poker table in Vegas can be an awesome party, the online poker is also a total party. The plus side has also been that playing online has allowed me to keep my poker game sharp, although it is a completely different and stimulating way of playing. The level of play of players run the gamut, so finding a good table and winning can be a rush.
Now… only if playing poker online can also come with a hot cocktail waitress bringing endless free drinks!
